What games do you play
The games played on the bus vary depending on the age group of the children.
We have music facilities on the bus so a few of our games are music based. We also like to hide the birthday child on the bus so the other children can find them. We play tiggy as well as the colour game where we get the children to run to different colours on the bus. There are many other games that are played but it does depend on the age group and Entertainers.
How many children
The gymbus is ideal for children aged between 3 and 10 years of age. The numbers of kids will vary depending on the age / size of the kids. The older they are the physically bigger they are.
Generally the bus is suitable for up to 26 kids at a time for up to 7 year olds. For older kids, depending on their size you may be better off limiting the numbers to 15.
What age to you cater for?
The Gymbus is ideal for children's birthday parties for the ages of 3 to 11. Younger kids often attend parties with their older siblings but a parent really needs to supervise them whilst our entertainers run the main function. Older kids may simply be too physically big for the bus.
Are there seatbelts in the bus?
There are no seatbelts on the bus as the bus doesn’t transport any passengers and there are no seats. The bus has been converted into a indoor play centre so we come to your house or a local park area or even a restaurant and provide the entertainment.
What age range is gymbus suited to?
The Gymbus is a unique experience for children aged from 3 – 12 years. The entertainer will challenge them with games and activities on the modified gymnastics and play equipment, and it’s all done inside the bus. There’s a fireman’s pole, tunnels from the top to the bottom floor, a slide, bars to swing and hang from, rolling wedges trapeze, in fact everything is designed to encourage the children to climb and tumble their way around the Gymbus.
How many children can you have on the bus?
The Gymbus can cater for up to 15 children at one time with one entertainer or up to 26 with two entertainers. All functions held on weekends will come with two entertainers.
When there are two entertainers, one will be down stairs and will generally be the one running the party. The second entertainer will be up stairs supervising the kids there. It's additional safety for your child and their guests.
Are there different busses?
No, all the gymbuses are the same. The buses are all internally padded on the floor areas and walls. This allows the children to swing and climb around with minimal chance of hurting themselves. Up stairs there is a set of roman rings, a swinging trapeze and a static bar. Tunnels, fireman's pole and a climbing rop allow the transition from up stairs down or vice versa. Downstairs you'll find a floor area, parallel bars and two foam filled pits.
Are the buses air-conditioned?
The buses are air-conditioned, but we need access to a power point. They operate off mains electricity, so they will not work without it. If you are planning to hold your function at a park, this needs to be considered.
We also have water spray bottles on each bus – these can be sprayed at the children to keep them cool and give them a quick drink. They love it!
Do you supply Invitations?
When a GymBus party is booked, invitations are attached to your booking for you to print out. These are supplied to you free of charge. We no longer have them available for separate download.

Can payment be made by direct deposit rather than by credit card
Payment is to be paid via Visa or Credit Card, If you don't have a visa or debit card please contact our office on 1300 657 798 to arrange a different method.
Days Gymbus operate?
Gymbus Operates for Birthday parties in Perth Monday - Sunday. Week day parties up to 15 children during the Term can start as early as 15:30 but if you have up to 26 Children the earliest the Party can Start is 16:30. During School Holidays Parties can start at earlier times but will have to call for availability. Location of the Gymbuses
Gymbuses are located in : Perth , Melbourne and Adelaide.
What clothing is suitable?
Just insure the children are in comfortable clothing, they usual get very warm on the bus so it is best to get them to take off all jumpers before going onto the bus. No shoes and socks are to be worn on the bus so will need to be taken off when bus arrives.
HQ has closed down?
we no longer have our HQ in Osborne Park and we have not reopened elsewhere.
How much per child
The Gymbus does not work on a "Per Child" charge. To obtain a quote for booking the bus, please contact the Gymbus office on 1300 657 798 or by completing an on-line request form from the menu above.
Do you attend birthday parties
The Gymbus is best known for birthday parties. We've operated for over 20 years and satisfied 1000's of kids and their parents. A Gymbus party is one to remember and very easy for everyone involved as our staff will keep the kids entertained on board whilst the parents can relax.

What area or space do you need for a bus to come to a residence.
The Gymbus is approximately 12 meters long and 2.5 meters wide. It is also 4.4 meters high so it does require some advanced planning so we can park upon arrival.
Generally if there can be three car spaces left free (or that can be moved upon us arriving), that is sufficient. We park on the side of the road and all games and activities are done there.
If you are looking at having your function at a local park, you may require local council permission first. Please contact the Gymbus Office as we may be able to answer that question for you.
What do you do?
The Gymbus is fitted out as an indoor play centre, and we come to you! The entertainer will facilitate games and activities that encourage the children to roll, slide, jump, and climb their way around the Gymbus. They are learning new skills and having fun at the same time – a stimulating, healthy alternative to an ordinary party!
After an hour, your guests are usually worn out and ready to eat, so all the hard work of entertaining a crowd of noisy, excited children is done for you.
How much does it cost?
That depends on how many guests you have and how much you want us to provide. For up to fifteen guests we send one entertainer, and for up to twenty six – the maximum – two entertainers. The second entertainer incurs an additional charge, but is essential to ensure the safety of your children. We are proud of our excellent safety record and want it to remain unblemished!
As we come to you, there is a travel charge, which is worked out according to the distance from our depot to your suburb. You can also arrange for us to supply lolly bags and a wonderful birthday cake.

How long are your parties?
Gymbus parties are generally 1 hour in duration. Depending on the age of your child, we can also do 1.5hr and 2hr parties. These have additional costs involved but are still all inclusive of entertainment and fun.
Do we travel with the children on board?
No! The bus is not a passenger vehicle. The function begins only when the bus is parked safely at your chosen venue (usually your driveway!).
How big is the bus?
The Gymbus is a double decker bus, 4.4 metres high and 10 metres long, so please consider parking requirements when booking. We also need to know of any difficulties we may have driving down your street – please consider the height of the bus in relation to any overhanging trees. Also, if your street is a cul-de-sac, will we be able to turn the bus around?
How far do you travel? Will you come to my suburb?
The Gymbus does have limitations on how far we will travel. We try to accommodate as best we can so if you fall outside our range, please call us and discuss options we may be able to provide.
We do not travel past the following;
Melbourne: we don’t go past – Newport, Warraville, Footscray, Flemington, Fitzroy North, Clifton Hill, Templestowe Lower, Donvale, Mooroolbark, Ferntree Gully, Lysterfield, Narree Warren, Cranbourne, Langwarrin, Mount Eliza
Perth: Rockingham, Quinns Rock, Midland and Armadale.
Adelaide: Doesn’t travel north of Gawler area, south of seaford area, or up south eastern freeway.
How does the GymBus work at events?
When the GymBus is booked for an event we can operate in a couple of different ways. The kids are charged for entry and GymBus staff supervise them for the duration of the play time (Generally between 5 and 10 minutes)
The alternative is the event organizers pay for the GymBus hire and sell tickets for the kids to then come on board. This is a much better way for events to run as it allows organizers to take care of all money and they can then also see how popular the ride is.
How much does the Gymbus cost?
