STAFF PROFILE
Since the launch of GymBus back in 1994, our teams have been referred to as Jim and Buzz. They are all hand-picked for their energy, enthusiasm and playfulness and are personally trained by the founder of GymBus, Grant Carlyon, in order to maintain the high quality that our customers have come to expect.
All our staff are passionate about children’s health and fitness and enjoy working with them.
Our friendly team of professionals have been helping:
- Parents to arrange children’s birthday parties
- Organisers to pull together children’s entertainment at events
- Teachers provide economical fundamental movement and gymnastic-style programs at schools
- Carers to put the fun into holiday programs.
Each area has a specialist who through years of experience has been provided the opportunity to solve the most common and some uncommon dilemmas! You can be confident that when you call to speak to one of our specialists, you are dealing with an experienced professional.
QUALIFICATIONS
Our staff are chosen for their excellent communication skills, as well as their background and experience in either, gymnastics, dance, sports or fitness.
A Working with Children Check and a Police Clearance are essential as well as working towards or having completed a Level 1 Coach Accreditation as a minimum requirement.
TRAINING
At GymBus, we have a model for each of our services and programs that has been tried, tested and modified over two decades. Our staff in all states are trained according to this model, so whether its a children’s birthday in NSW, a schools program in WA or a holiday program in VIC, we can guarantee the standard of excellence will be the same.
Our coaches and entertainers are trained to encourage children to engage and participate in gymnastics and fundamental movement activities at whatever level they choose.
Through our training programs, we aim to instil in our coaches what is important to develop children holistically, with the emphasis on inclusion for all, no matter what the ability level… to provide options and modifications to suit the physically gifted as well as those with disabilities.

Who will monitor the children going on and off the GymBus?
Our entertainers are very experienced and will supervise the children as they enter and leave the Gymbus. Children under 3 yrs. may need parent supervision.
