Ideas for a Kids Birthday Parties in Bentleigh East , Melbourne
The following recipe for Fruit-filled Cones was a huge hit at a recent birthday party in Bentleigh East.
Mini waffle cones
250gms Milk cooking chocolate
100’s and 1000’s
Cream or ice cream (Optional )
Blueberries, Strawberries, Grapes, pineapple, diced
Method:
Prepare the fruit by washing, drying, removing stalks etc and dicing where necessary.
Melt the chocolate, either using the microwave method or the double saucepan method or cool slightly.
Prepare a bowl with 100’s and 1000’s.
Dip the cones into the melted chocolate, then dip the cones into the 100&1000’s, place in the fridge until the chocolate has set.
Fill the cones with the diced fruit, arrange on a serving plate. The fruit cones can be served as they are or topped with ice cream.
The lemonade stand was also a huge hit. A very clever Mum and Dad made
the basic structure from scrap wood, and painted it bright colours. It was
constructed so it could be dismantled to fit in the back of the family SUV and on
castors which made it easy to roll around. The two glass drinks dispensers
with taps were filled with homemade lemonade, one flat, and one sparkling. An
Ice bucket with crushed ice, plastic cups & serviettes completed the Lemonade
Stand. Most of the children had a turn behind the counter, and really enjoyed playing “shops” with play money.
Another idea for this Kids Birthday Parties in Bentleigh East was to have the party food randomly set up around the back yard before the guests arrived. There were packets of vege chips, rice wheels etc in one area, fruit cones ( as above) in another, and cupcakes elsewhere. Later the hot food, like pizza squares and sausage rolls replaced the cupcakes and fruit cones, then everyone gathered around for the birthday cake, followed by an ice cream each, then take-home loot bags.
Party done!
